Thermo Fisher Scientific
STATEMENT OF WORK PERFORMED, TERMS & CONDITIONS, PROJECT BUDGET, PROJECT BENEFICIARY
Big thanks to Thermo Fisher Scientific (TFS) for supporting children and their families. TFS' community give-back project will occur on February 2, 2025, in Orlando, Florida, and engage up to 50 participants. Its duration will be approximately three hours.
Volunteer Orlando Inc. (VO) will plan, manage and lead the project in exchange for TFS paying the total project cost of $6,750 to VO.
The benefiting nonprofit of TFS' community give-back project is Orlando Day Nursery (ODN). The nursery is a 100+ year old 501(c)3) nonprofit organization that provides a well-coordinated learning curriculum and family support program for young children, aged six weeks to about age six. Most children come from low-income families. It currently serves approximately 80 children at its downtown Orlando site.
Hands-on tasks are noted in the project Agreement, updated on November 11, 2024, and submitted to Chris Zaremby, Sr. Meetings and Events Specialist for TFS. VO also agrees to equip and support participants with alternative hands-on tasks in the event of bad weather for no additional cost.
This project aligns with a key TFS value, “...treating others with dignity and respect.” VO believes it is a strong call to action that will be appealing and resonate well with participant; and strengthen their bonds by sparking genuine and authentic interactions that improve The Human Condition.
In addition to planning, managing and leading the February 2, 2025 project at ODN, Volunteer Orlando will provide all necessary project supplies and tools. And VO will pre-sort supplies, transport supplies to the worksite, do necessary prep-work, stage, and break down the activity after project completion.
The total cost of the project is $6,750. Fifty percent of the funds, $3,375, is due from TFS to VO within three days of project agreement. The balance is due from TFS to VO on or before January 28, 2025. Volunteer Orlando guarantees no project cost overruns. Transportation to and from ODN is not included.
